So Katsuni how are you, what have you been up to?, tell us a little about yourself
Kat-
Hello!, well I'm French and Vietnamese, i was born and raised in France, I was a student in interlocutor when in fact i signed my first contract, it was with penthouse magazine in France. I wasn't so sure i wanted to become a French teacher so this is why i chose to make the experience to do porn, it was more a game when i started, and this is how i started, I started in France then shot movies in Europe, i came in U.S. and i was very surprised to realize that i was quite successful there, so this is what i did, i do this job about ten years now and i live in the U.S. i've been in contract with Digital Playground and now i'm freelance again, this is what i've been doing.
Matt-
You are back to doing Gonzo films now, why did you decide to leave Digital Playground?, do you feel like you fulfilled the experience with them and want to move on?
Kat-
Yes, exactly, i spent four years with them and i was very happy of this deal, there was nothing wrong everything was great, i really love working with them!, they treat the girls very well, we all know that they do great movies! For me it was huge to be in Pirates 2 as a French girl it was huge to sign with an american company but after four years you know it's good to do something else. I chose this job cause i don't like routine, because i like new experiences after fours you know when you work with all the same people you can feel like you need something new. So this is why i came back to features and gonzo's, it's really nice to work with the people that i used to work with before, and there always new people that's exciting!
Matt-
Do you feel like the business has changed since you started?
Kat-
Professionally when i started, in fact people were starting to tell me it wasn't the right time, ten years ago it started to be bad, but i think it's even worse today the business is just different now it's all about internet. I can't complain i'm still here after ten years and i'm making money and i'm here and people pay me to come dance in N.Y. really, i can't complain, i am different too, when i started i was twenty one i wasn't a women yet and i have experience now i can appreciate what i have, so it's very positive!
Matt-
When you travel around the world performing at clubs, how do you compare the experience vs. making movies?
Kat-
It's different, i do less movies then before because i want to keep enjoying it, of course i don't have the same energy. Porn use to be my whole life, it was all about doing scenes everyday and to be honest today is just a small part of my life, because one more time after all these years i need to prove something else, i have to have new challenge so i still enjoy what i do and i choose the people i work with. I wouldn't keep doing scenes if i didn't enjoy, but i also have to have other activities so this is why i launch my brand of lingerie i write a blog, this is why i am working on new projects.
Matt-
You have a clothing/lingerie line you started overseas, can you tell us a little about that?
Kat-
Yeah, i'm a little bit late because i do everything by myself maybe it's time for me to have more people working with me because it's a lot of things to run (laughs) yeah for the moment my brand is distributed in Europe and Australia and yes the next step is to work on the U.S. market and go to the next level.
Matt-
You travel a lot being in this business, did you always travel as much prior to this career?
Kat-
I didn't really travel before i did porn, i use my job as a hobby and as great excuse to travel! (laughs), so i like to mix pleasure and job, i don't like to feel like i'm working and like to feel like i learn from everything and to travel is a way to have new experiences meet new people and it's never boring.
So sometimes people don't understand me because they think it's tiring but it's such a chance to travel,
so for me it's not really vacations but it's fun, a fun job.
Matt-
Is there a specific country you enjoy spending your time in when traveling?
Kat-
I must say Australia, i have great great memories there! (laughs) people are so nice with me there had so much fun! i got drunk a lot to be honest maybe it's because i have good memories, it's a happy culture people are very friendly, they are professional, maybe they are not like that all the time but at least with me they were perfect, i love being in the U.S. and this is why i live here, so for sure U.S. and Australia my favorite nations to work!
Matt-
Since being in the business do you feel you have had to open up more as a sexual being, or have you always been a very sexual person?
Kat-
I always have been the same for that, i always have been curious to try new things, when i did porn cause i already had experience in my private life, when i started to do porn i used to do DP's in my private life so it was not too new for me, and today i am still open, i am using more my brain, so i know, some men don't like that (laughs) they prefer girls who don't use there brain, but to me it's so much more interesting because it's more progress, when you use your brain to have sex you can go so much more.
It's not just about having a great performance or doing double anal or things like that, of course i can do that, but this is not the main thing, the main thing is how you do that, why, with who, to me this is the performance witch is exciting but why you are doing it and at witch moments.There is a difference between having sex in a bed before you go to sleep with your boyfriend and having sex outside in a place where you are not suppose to have sex you know.
Matt-
When you are working, do you have a preference who you work with, male or female or both together?
Kat-
No, it's all about who i have in front of me, it could be man or women, it's not important, the man and women, it's more about the chemistry, yeah i prefer men but it can be very very unique with a women.
Matt-
So this is your first time dancing in N.Y. what do you think of the big apple, are you enjoy the city?
Kat-
Yeah!! it's a fascinating place, i really hope i will come back all depends on you know the clubs, but if they want me to come back yeah for sure i'm coming back!, i really had fun tonight the club was full, people were nice, so yeah let's cross our fingers!
Matt-
So are there any new projects you are working on at the moment for future release?
Kat-
I recently directed a big orgy scene, it was my first real project as a director, it will be distributed by Dorcel in europe but probably in the U.S. also in January 2012, and after that i'm going to direct more movies, real movies, features for the european market so we will see, still producing content for my website, developing my brand of lingerie, writing my book, i have other things but i don't want to speak about it because i think it's too early, so we will see.
